Before TV’s • In the pioneer days, before television was invented people had radios. The family would sit around the radio and listen to their favorite shows. They would listen to the words and imagine what was happening
The Invention of Television • The TV was invented by a couple of people; Paul Gottlieb Nipkow, John Logie Baird, Charles Francis Jenkins and Vladimir Kosma Zworykin. Each of them had an important part in the invention of TV’s.
The First TV’s • In the old days TV’s were a lot bigger than TV’s today. • And TV’s only showed black and white pictures. • TV’s only had a few channels • They looked like funny furniture • They were very expensive too. • And you had to get up to change the channel!
Changes Over the Years • TV’s are now in color • Some TV’s have gotten bigger and some TV’s got smaller • Eventually they added the remote control • And almost everyone now has one.
Today’s TV’s • TV’s continue to get bigger and smaller • Now Cell phones work like TV’s • Today you can hang your TV on the wall • You can play video games and use your computer on your TV. • And now TVs come in 3D.
