  2. Today we are… • We will learn how to use a drawing app to show comprehension skills of a story. By the end of class… • We will create an illustration showcasing our favorite scene from the story.

  3. We are about to watch and listen to a story… • Pay attention to the details in the scenes • Look for interesting characters and funny situations • Imagine a scene that you could draw that showcases what the book is saying to us

  4. Open your MacBook… • Click on the Safari logo to access the internet

  5. Click on the bookmark… • Next you want to click on the Technology Class bookmark in Safari

  6. Click here to get to the drawing website

  7. On your iPad… Click on MoMa Lab and use this app to draw your scene

  8. Now it’s time to draw! • Use this time to draw a scene that you pictured in your head or thought was funny from the story. • When everyone is finished we will take a “Gallery Walk” around the classroom to show off our masterpieces!

  9. 2nd-4th Grade Lesson Extension: • Chose an idiom from the website or from the Idioms App on the iPad • Now draw a picture of what the idiom would look like and write/type the meaning below or beside it
