Week 12: Writing Review • Revise on Students’ Plays • Key elements to write a good play Different characters, meaningful setting, fun conversation, and strong personalities, making all the dramas, climax, turning point and a satisfying or an open ending.
Week 13: Course Review on Revolution • Rehearsal Week (a) Activate students’ imagination to attach to the social world and show sympathy to the people who are suffering. (b) Organize a revolution by playing it out: a rehearsal week. • Creating Scar Literature in Chinese A. Purposes: (a) Reflection on events (b) Comfort victims (c) Involvement in writing process B. Week 14: Performance of the Play • Action Play A. Purpose: Learning to exercise civil rights through plays. B. Schedule: (a) Several groups are formed to perform a play based on their screenplay writing (b) Students’ group list should be handed before week 8 (c) Due day for students’ screenplay on week 10 (d) Screen play revise is set on week 12 (e) Rehearsal day is on week 13 (f) Official acting time is on week 14
Week 15: Form a Study Group • Preparations for Forming a Study Group on Tunisian Literature (a). Collecting info. from newspaper (b). Forming opinions through reading news, TV discussion and watching TV channels (c). Organizing your own study group
Week 15: Critical Thinking • Open Discussion in class (5 Groups) (a) Are economic problems necessary leading to uprisings? (b) How do young people face Taiwan’s economic problems? (c) Is there any possibility of “Jasmine Revolution” in Taiwan? Have we ever had any similar revolutions before? (d) Do we have any relevant revolution literary works left behind by our predecessors? (e) Why CANNOTChina have any revolutions according to her Minister of Foreign Relations/ International Affair? (Discuss this issue based on your understanding of China’s domestic politics and public relations with the world.)
