Job of FBI Description The FBI agent jobs includes investigating many forms of criminal activity, such as corruption, cyber crime, drug trafficking, economic and other office crime, kidnapping and organized crime. The FBI also investigates terrorism, and national security investigations. FBI solve cases involving violations of more than 260 federal statutes.

  4. Education Required • Bachelor's Degree on criminal justice or criminology, political science or business • Law school graduates • 18 weeks of extensive training after being hired

  5. Salary & Benefits An FBI agent started at a base salary of about $48,000, but then it goes up to $60,000 over the time period. The FBI agent receives a full benefit package with health insurance, a retirement plan, and paid vacations and holidays. Many also have a business car and work-issued cell phone.

  6. Use of Technology The FBI uses all kinds of technology. For example, they use the space satellites to find enemies. They also use listening devices, and other advanced technology. The use of technology gives intelligence officers anonymity, so it enhances the efforts of foreign spies, but does not replace them entirely.
