    3. Sources of Leadership Inspiration… Role models Professors Your Peers Workplace Colleagues Professional Athletes Your Family Political Leaders…. There are an endless list of potential role models when it comes to leadership. This slide outlines just a few… My personal aspirations for leadership came first from a preceptor (Susan). Susan demonstrated to me that it was possible to balance a professional career with a very fulfilling home life. Susan is someone I would consider a mentor… Other role models for me included friends, more recently workplace colleagues,etc. An ongoing source of inspiration for me continues to be found in the library or at the local Chapters. There are an endless list of potential role models when it comes to leadership. This slide outlines just a few… My personal aspirations for leadership came first from a preceptor (Susan). Sources of Leadership Inspiration… Literature Good to Great (Jim Collins) How to Become CEO: Rules for Rising to the Top of any Organization (Jeffrey Fox) Age of Speed (Vincent Poscente) Just Walk Across the Room (Bill Hybels) These are just some of my favourites. Right off the bat I should let you know that I openly confess to being a geek. My undergrad was in Economics afterall. My husband who is in the back of the room, is an engineer. We often try to remind each other that the geeks are the catches in life…. But in all seriousness, these are books I would recommend to you all, starting with Good to Great. The premise is….These are just some of my favourites. Right off the bat I should let you know that I openly confess to being a geek. My undergrad was in Economics afterall.
