MWA Fall Workshop October 2016 • The 2017 MWA membership forms and invoices will be mailed out in late November/early December • The annual fees are being held at last year’s level for those renewing before Jan. 31, 2017 • (Late renewers will be subject to a 5% increase: rounded) • Municipal and corporate memberships will also be able to be renewed online at the MWA website • Look for the posting—we’ll send a reminder to you via the MWA Bulletin Membership renewals

  4. MWA Fall Workshop October 2016 Yes, it’s a long form… There are a lot of parts to the Municipal membership form It will take time to complete all the parts Without the information we cannot update the Membership Directory database Think of it as our long-form census

MWA Fall Workshop October 2016 Municipal Affiliate Memberships Municipal Affiliate Memberships available for staff at $25 each Entitles staff to receive their own copy of the newsletter and to join the MWA Bulletin regular email list. Affiliate memberships can also be added later, online at the MWA website.

MWA Fall Workshop October 2016 Electronic Funds Transfer EFT seems very much supported by finance departments - administratively simple - more secure Membership survey suggested some very keen to have EFT - use your own funds transfer form - or the template we put together Still be happy to accept payment by cheque/credit card

MWA Fall Workshop October 2016 - Committee updates in the newsletter - Provide a meeting schedule at the beginning of the year - Provide framework of priorities for the Committee for the year to engage members - Ensure call-in technology working properly - Make spring workshops available by webinar - What about regionalized group meetings that could at least pull together munis from one region? - Go national 2015 Committee participation survey A review of last year’s suggestions
