Objectives • Balance enrolments in the short and long term • Determine new site(s) for 7/8 FI program (due to consolidation of King George with Laurine & Tytler into JK-8 English only school) • Accommodate enrolment growth in FI in South Guelph through a second location for the JK to Grade 6 FI program • Review the programs and grade organizations in the schools.

  3. Scenario Facts • Early Learning Program Fully Implemented by 2015 • FI projected increase from 2008 - 2017 • JK-6 approx. 49% (1365 - 2025) • 7/8 approx. 60% (235-375) • JK-8 approx. 50 % (1600-2400)

  4. Scenario Facts RT enrolment projected increase of approx 12% (8100-9050) FI enrolment share growing from 15% (2008) to 20% (2017) (City of Guelph) Current projections and trends support need for a new school and another FI location in South Guelph

  5. Scenario Facts No room for expansion at Victory PS Board approved Gr 7/8 move from Priory Park to Jean Little (2010) Board no longer operates 7/8 schools

  6. Common Scenario Recommendations: • Conversion of FA Hamilton to JK-6 FI Centre • Move of all FA Hamilton English students to Jean Little • Move of Gifted Program: • FA Hamilton Gr 4 & 5 Gifted to Priory Park • Waverley Gr 6 Gifted to Priory Park

  7. Common Scenario Recommendations: Priory Park Gr 7/8 move to Jean Little JK-6 boundary change between Priory Park & Jean Little Reassignment of Victory FI students (west of Hanlon) to Paisley
