Pilot at HMP the Verne • Funded through Live Music Now and Medicor • Combined expertise of the University with LMN’s expertise in prisons • Results – great enthusiasm and focus from all participants and the development of six music bands of their own in the prison. Some employment success for those released shortly after the project.
Accreditation • Marchmont Observatory took the Award up to London to the national and international examination board with the results of all the pilots. • Edexcel invested in accrediting the Award, and made some changes resulting in the Award now being called SEPE (Supporting Employability and Personal Effectiveness) • We now want to pilot SEPE in six European countries – funded as Transfer of Innovation project by EU Leonardo Programme
