GA Journey Overview • As a part of this conference • GA leaders will gain a greater understanding of the overall GA Journey program. • GA leaders will review samples of the GA Journey resources. • GA leaders will learn what each GA is responsible for accomplishing in each of her graded “journeys.”

  9. GA Journey—The Format • Each GA Journey activity is divided into three separate sections: • “What You Need” – Leader • 2. “What You Do” – Leader • 3. “What GAs Do” – GA

  10. GA Journey—The Plan • When should GA groups use the plan? • Once per month – last GA meeting of the month • At-home projects • Help from a parent or other adult – when there is not another chance for girls to do GA Journey • Parents – homeschooling • Events

  12. Benefits of New Awards • fosters a sense of togetherness for GAs • encourages GAs to wear missions discipleship badges • promotes the GA organization • provides a uniform for GA • events outside the church • becomes a keepsake for • GA members

WorldVentures • The WorldVentures books are now available from national WMU only. • Bracelets and charms will remain in LifeWay stores through July 2011. • After July 31, bracelets and charms will be available only through WMU. • Limited quantities of products will remain in stock until August 2012.

  14. Important Dates for 2011 • May—All GA Journey books are released • May/June GA Leader—4-page insert describing GA Journey and the new awards system • August—all badges and vests are released • September—GA Journey is implemented in churches
