  3. I. Deviousness of the Devil • He is characterized by: • A. Daring (Gen 3:1) “ Hath God said…” cf Job 1:11 • B. Deceit- a distortion of the truth(Gen 3:3) • C. Denial of the truth of God’s Word (Gen 3:4)

  4. II. Person of the Devil • A. His Power –Like a Lion (1 Peter 5:8) • B. His Presence – Invisible (Eph 6:12) • C. His Purpose – To Devour (1 Peter 5:8)

  5. III. Activity of the Devil • A. He Opposes God (2 Thess 2:4; Is 14:13-14 • B. He Opposes Truth (John 8:44) • C. He Opposes Us (1 Pet 5:8; Rev 12:10)
