  3. Background Knowledge Target Audience: 7th grade students Students come to Tutor with knowledge of: • Range • Mean • Number line Standard Deviation PSLC 6.07

  4. Purpose of Tutor: To • Create a motivating force for students to visually determine standard deviation based on the distance from the mean • Create an interactive learning environment Standard Deviation PSLC 6.07

Highlights • Visual display of interface creates a platform which allows students to interact with facial features, for fun and stimulation • Builds on intelligence by encouraging students to use a different means to an end; rather than calculating standard deviation-they use visual properties to determine answer • Provides positive feedback and well as helpful suggestions for improving incorrect answer Standard Deviation PSLC 6.07
