BIOSOL FRESHIN

BIOSOL FRESHIN is a cutting-edge odor control technology that tackles malodors by neutralizing odor-causing compounds and harnessing the power of specialized microbes. This innovative two-step approach effectively eliminates odors at the source, providing long-lasting freshness. With proven efficacy against various odorous compounds, FRESHIN offers a comprehensive solution for tackling unwanted smells in various settings, from public restrooms to carpets and upholstery.

  1. BIOSOL FRESHIN The latest innovation in odor control technology …

  2. Chemistry of Odors

  3. Malodors… Odor molecules react with olfactory receptors in the nose. To produce odors compounds must …. 1)Volatilize to reach nose receptors. 2) Possess chemistry to stimulate receptors. Common methods to control odors include: 1) Perfumes or maskants to overpower bad smells with less objectionable odors (confuse receptors) 2) Volatile chemicals that anesthetize the receptors so they cannot function

  4. Freshin destroys odors: • “two step” action of Freshin : • First • fast-acting neutralizer binds odor-causing compounds preventing them from volatizing and reaching the nose. • Second • billions of selectively adapted microbes consume the odor causing chemicals converting them to cellular components and harmless, odorless carbon dioxide and water.

  5. To demonstrate long-term ability to control bathroom odors… • Freshin was applied with cat urine to an absorbent material and stored at room temperature for one week. A separate control was prepared with water replacing Freshin. • Ammonia was measured in the headspace above the mixture at days 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. • The combination of chemical and microbial action virtually eliminated odor. Freshin

  6. An unfair comparison….. In fact… Freshin (with fragrance removed) is still almost as effective as the leading brand (with fragrance) when tested against butyric acid. Freshin Freshin

  7. Neutralization of Tobacco Odor Again… Freshin is more effective than the leading brand on offensive tobacco smoke odor.

  8. Effective Control of Odors in Solutions • Nine ml solutions of odorous compounds in individual test tubes with screw caps were combined with 2 ml aliquots of Freshen. After two hours the concentrations of the odorous compounds in the headspace of each test tube were measured compared to water. • Compound Concentration %Reduction vs. control • hydrogen sulfide 8 ppm 92 • Ammonia 525 ppm 46 • dimethyl amine 309 ppm 46 • trimethyl amine 390 ppm 49 Freshin technology reduces odorous materials in the headspace over highly concentrated solutions from 46 to 92%.

  9. Freshin has many applications... • Direct odor spray.. • more effective than leading brand • Direct spray & wipe to clean hard surfaces & remove odors.. • provides residual deep cleaning • Apply directly to remove soils & odors from carpet & fabrics • effective stain remover • free-rinsing, will not promote resoiling

  10. Deep penetrating action... In areas where moisture & organics collect, bioenzymatic activity removes trapped organics • fibers, carpet padding, upholstery stuffing • pores of wood, ceramic, and concrete • tile grout • junctions between fixtures and floor • corners, cracks & crevices • between fibers • fixtures

  11. Applications:direct spray or spot cleaning • Public restrooms: (municipalities, stadiums, airports, businesses, rest stops, campgrounds, etc.) • Hard surfaces • Urinals & fixtures • Garbage containers • Restaurants & Institutions(colleges, schools, resorts, jails, gyms, hospitals, nursing homes, daycare, etc.) • Carpets & upholstery • Loading docks & dumpsters • Garbage collection areas • Sumps & Line odor • Linen collection areas
