  2. A. On which political parties did your parents vote? • 1+2: CDA • 3+4: PVDA • 5: PVDD • 6: CU • Our: Bas: D66 Richard : CU Jan : CU

B: Why did they vote on that party? • 1+2: Their point of view dealing with the mortgage and the foreign people. • 3+4: Because they are the most social one of the bigger parties. • 5: They are against bio-industry. • 6: Because the party’s points of view match those of my father, in most cases. • Our: Bas: I think it is the most tolerant party. Richard/Jan: We think the CU was the best party in the big party leader debate and a good party for Holland.

  4. C. Which things did they find important? • 1+2 Maintenance the mortgage interest refunds and there humane point of view. • 3+4: 1 fair distribution of earnings   2 employment 3 better education     4 better care, payable for everyone    5 fight against poverty and hunger in the world • 5: Animal rights. • 6: The party has a couple of ecological • Our: Schoolbooks for Free, More student grant, Many work for people who are out of work, Safety, Enough Food for everyone and Better infrastructure.

  5. D. Is Holland one of these specific things? • 1+2: Yes • 3+4: yes, point 1 to 4 of C • 5: Yes • 6: Yes • Our: Yes, Holland must do something about the employment in Holland.

  6. E. Is Europe on of these specific things? • 1+2: Yes • 3+4: Yes, Europe has got influence at all the points of C. • 5: No • 6: No • Our: Yes, Holland, Europe and maybe the whole world must think about the air pollution they bring about.

What do you think about closing the borders? • 1+2: People who really need it are welcome, people who only come here because of the money have to leave. • 3+4: I think it's not a good idea • 5: We should only close them for money-seekers. • 6: There should be strict criteria about who is allowed in. It is an European issue, and it should be managed at European level.

  9. Do you think the big cities should grow more, or less? • 1+2: Only if the infrastructure grows with the city, the cities can grow. For example the traffic jam around Almere. • 3+4: -The big cities should grow less, because of the poverty. • 5:Less, they are big enough. • 6: It is not so critical for Holland, but Holland should avoid development of ghetto’s.

  10. Should the Gulden return as currency? • 1+2: No, because it’s cheaper to deal with the Euro in the international business. • 3+4: No, with the euro it's much easier to pay in the most European countries • 5: No. • 6: No, the Euro is fine.

  12. Are we paying too much money for the European Union? • 1+2: Absolutely • 3+4: No we aren't paying to much for the EU • 5: Yes • 6: Yes

  13. Should we do more against poverty in 3rd world countries? • 1+2: The Netherlands is one of the countries with the highest level around the world. So I think we spend enough. • 3+4: Yes, I think there is much more to do • 5: Yes • 6: Yes, the 1st world is draining too many resources from the 3rd world, for an unfair price.

  15. Do you think there is too much discussion, and too little problems being solved? • 1+2: Yes • 3+4: Yes, that's indeed a big problem in the dutch politics. • 5:Yes. • 6: Yes, but it is part of our democracy.

  16. What is the best political idea at the moment? • 1+2: No general excuse for the 26.000 people who has to go back to their one country, because they have lost there process already. • 3+4: General Pardon • 5: That there should be less bureaucracy. • 6: There aren’t any realistic ones.

  17. Should the parliament do something about the poverty? If you answered yes, what do you think they should do? • 1+2: I think that single mothers with young children could use more support from the government. But young people who can work have to be forced to get a job. • 3+4: more jobs, more tx for the rich and less for the poor people • 5: Yes, they must divide the money in a different way. • 6: Yes, they should try to distribute wealth better by means of smart an tax rules.

What do you think of the PvdD, the party that wants equal animal rights? • 1+2: I think it’s good to do something for animals and nature but the PvdD in the national parliament is ridiculous. • 3+4: a one issue party, the don’t belong in the parlement • 5:Good, because they say that people see animals like products, and not like other beings in this world. • 6:It’s a good idea to have that party in the 2e Kamer.

  20. Who is the most charismatic politician at the moment? • 1+2: Harry Potter when he’s angry. • 3+4: Jan Marijnissen • 5: Wouter Bos • 6: Jan Marijnissen

  21. What do you think of the idea of giving 16 year olds the right to vote? • 1+2 No they don't have enough knowledge' • 3+4: That's a bad idea. I think most of the 16 year olds don't know much about politics • 5: I think this is not a good idea, they are too young to make a good decision. • 6:Not good, because they are too young for mature opinions.

  23. D. Is Holland one of these specific things? • CDA: Yes, Trust in a involved Holland. An fair politic with a point of view that you can make true and promises that you make true. • PVDA: Yes • PvdD: It is about animal rights in Holland in the first place, so it is all about Holland. • CU: The Christen Unie wants the best for Holland, but I don’t know exactly what, because I couldn’t find these thing on the site.

  24. E. Is Europe on of these specific things? • CDA: Yes, allied and solidarity in the EU are important for peace, freedom and prosperity. Terrorism and human trafficking are one of the many things that we can’t do ourselves but that we must do with Europe of the whole world. • PVDA: Yes • PvdD: They want to give animals the same rights as humans in all countries that are member of the EU. • CU: The Christen Unie wants Holland to pay less for the EU, because they don’t want everything to be controlled by the EU.

  25. H. Which coalition do you think there should come? • CDA: CDA doesn’t have a opinion in the public. They don’t want with the SP and have enough trust to go with the PVDA, but they don’t say wich coalition there should come. • PVDA: CDA – PVDA - SP • PvdD: PvdA, SP, GroenLinks, Christen Unie and D66. • CU: CDA, PvdA en ChristenUnie.

  26. H. Which coalition do you think there should come? • 1+2: CDA-PVDA-CU • 3+4: PVDA-CDA-SP • 5: PvdA, VVD, SP. • 6: CDA, PvdA and ChristenUnie • Our: CDA-PVDA-CU
