  2. With your help Welch Elementary School is going to adopt a Cheetah from the Philadelphia Zoo. His name is Spot.

  3. Cheetahs are on the endangered species list.

  4. Want to know what you can do to help Spotand other endangered species? Black and White Ruffed Lemur Red panda Harlequin frog White rhino Snappingturtle Western Lowland Gorilla Giant otter Caribbean flamingo

  5. You can help Spot by saving energy!!(at home and school!!!)- turn off the lights and tv in rooms not being used- turn off computer monitors when you are finished- recycle glass, plastic, and paper- take the bus, ride a bike, walk, or carpool to school - take a shorter shower -turn off the water while brushing your teeth

  6. Are you wondering how saving energy can help save endangered animals???When we use less electricity and water and energy - we help make the world a better placefor every living thing on the planet!! We share the Earth – the more we conservethe better it will be!

  7. What else can you do??? Here are 2 more ideas for you…. 1. Talk to your family about ways to save energy at home.

  8. 2. Fill out a Spotcard with your family and give it to your teacher along with .25¢ This $ will be used to adopt Spot!! Then hang your Spot card in the hallway around your classroom door.

  9. Once your class has 100% participation, your class will be recognized on Spot’s Wall of Fame!! Which will be on the glass windows outside the cafeteria!!!!

  10. If your class has 100% participation, each person will receive an animal trading card or animal tattoo!

  11. Spot and his species can be saved! Spot PURRS a big THANK YOU!!
