  6. Create Support Systems Of Compassion

  7. The worship and fasting that means the most to me God declares is “to loose the chains of injustice…to share…food with the hungry…to provide the…wanderer with shelter…to clothe [the naked]…Then your light will break forth like the dawn and your healing will quickly appear…” (Isaiah 58:6-8)

  8. “I commend President Obama for forcing the issue of health care reform into the public debate. Our present system, still the best in the world, needs to expand coverage to the uninsured.” But as Colson quickly adds “while justice demands that health care be expanded, a one-size fits all government system isn’t the answer.”

  11. Jesus was responsive, in two crucial, therapeutic ways. Yes with physical healing: “get up, take your mat, and walk” (Mark 2:11). But prior to that, with spiritual healing: “Son, your sins are forgiven.” (Mark 2:5)

  12. "Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
