Logging On • Everyone has their own username and password • Username = first initial and last name for example…jslater • Password – You will be assigned a password initially and will be required to change it when you log on for the first time. • If you want to change your password at any time….log into a PC….hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and click the change password button.
Caution • Please never give out your password to anyone for any reason • Please never let the students use a PC that is logged in as you • If a student is logged in as you they can… • Delete your personal files • Send e-mails on your behalf • Access and delete files from staff drives • Access inappropriate web sites
File Storage • When logged into the network the following drives will be available to you… DriveDesignation U (user) This is your own personal storage location which no one else has access. L (local) This drive is for sharing files with teachers at your site. G (global) This drive is used for sharing files with teachers at all sites. X (staff) This drives is used for sharing files with all staff at all sites.
Printing • Every classroom has a “default” printer which is usually the printer in that room. • If your room doesn’t have a printer, your default printer will be the closest printer in the building to your room. • If you’d like to have your default printer changed please let us know.
Trouble Trakker • Trouble Trakker is a web-based service for the reporting, tracking and solving of technology issues. • Anytime you have any technology related issues please fill out a trouble trakker ticket. • Also use trouble trakker for ordering technology supplies such as ink cartridges, mice, headphones, etc. • You can access trouble trakker at the link below http://ww9.k12usa.com/trakker2/index.asp (there is also a link from our website)
E-Mail • Anytime you log into a PC within the AEP you can access your e-mail via Outlook. • The address book contains all of the AEP contacts including secretaries, teachers and administrators. • The address book also includes distribution lists for particular sites, and content areas.
E-Mail Web Access • E-mail is also available from remote locations via Outlook Web Access • If you visit the address below… https://eastmail03.aep.lcn.net/exchange you will be asked for your username and password. Simply enter your network username and password and you will have full access to your e-mail and calendar.
Aesop • Aesop is the AIU’s absence management website. • Enter your social security # into the ID box and the last four digits of your social security # in the Pin box. • Once logged in you can create and modify absences for sick and personal days.
Curriculum Mapper • Click -Start -Programs -Special -Curriculum Mapper
Insite • InSite, the AIU intranet, provides detailed information geared specifically for AIU employees on: • Central Office Procedures • Safety and Risk Concerns • Benefits • Classified Postings • AIU Facts • FAQs • AIU Business Forms • IEP Writer
O.S.C.A.R • Online Searchable Catalog and Reservations • Search the FULL TEXT of the Media Catalog • Reserve video programs to meet your instructional criteria • To register an O.S.C.A.R. account, contact the AIU's Instructional Media Services program by email at medialib@aiu3.net or by telephone at 412-394-4520.
