Why do I need to know this? • There are different codes you need to know…what to wear in an interview, what to say to a teacher, etc. • Using proper format in a research paper is the “code” you need in order to have your work taken seriously at a higher level.
MLA • Stands for Modern Language Association • Used in English and Modern Language classes
APA • American Psychological Association • Used in Social Science and Psychology classes
