  1. What Are the Pros and Cons of Biodegradable Urns? Off late people have been learning more and more about the damaging effects of a traditional funeral practice. They are becoming aware about how a burial is actually 450% more damaging per person to the earth when compared to a cremation. One of the main reasons being the amount of land it consumes. The uses for a piece of land are many. When one opts for a burial he or she locking down that piece of land forever. This leads to more land consumption for something that isn’t benefiting the environment at all.

  2. A cremation on the other hand uses the same patch of land over and over so not too much land is consumed in the process. Due to this reason, cremations have seen a huge rise. People are opting for it due to eco-friendly reasons which have also paved the way for biodegradable urns. Speaking of pros and cons of bio urns, there honestly isn’t a list when it comes to cons. The one main concern with bio urns is that you have to plant it back into the ground since they will eventually disintegrate and go back to the earth so you can save the ashes of your loved one with you. If you wish to save it, you can always go for brass and metal urns which are also a popular option. Bio urns can either be buried or immersed so they go back to the environment completely and don’t harm it at all. This is the biggest selling point for them. If you wish to check out some beautiful bio urns or wooden urns you can visit Geturns.com and browse through our collection.
