Strengthening Implementation of ICDS • Monitoring of activities implemented in AWCs • Ensure strict monitoring of monthly field visits by District and Block level functionaries • Review of activities of ICDS • Growth monitoring of children • Immunization of children • Monitoring of VHND/SNP/Pre School activities
Strengthening Implementation of ICDS • Identification of children with Severe Acute Malnutrition(SAM) and vulnerability assessment of families • Identify SAM children & Refer to NRC • Vulnerability mapping of families of SAM children • Ensure convergence with other Departmental scheme for families with SAM children • Coverage of Hard to reach areas: • 4967 hard to reach areas identified in 30 districts • Collectors to timely review & assess delivery of services in hard to reach areas
Strengthening implementation of Hot Cooked Meals (HCM) & Take Home Ration (THR) • Due diligence in engaging SHGs • Supervisors to remain present on the day of mixing of THR as per the guidelines issued • Sub-Collector, DSWO, CDPOs to visit the THR units • AWWs, Supervisors to verify the THR packets supplied by SHG • Members of Jaanch and Mothers Committee to visit 2-3 households per fortnight to ensure consumption of THR Revision of Ration cost under Supplementary Nutrition Programme is under consideration
Status of functioning of Anganwadi Centres Total AWCs: 72587 • AWCs under construction: 8483 • Work to commence: 9107
District wise status of construction of AWC buildings • In 2017-18, Rs 55.40 cr released for construction of 2770 AWCs under MGNREGS. • Rs 47.95 cr has been released to take up construction of 685 AWC buildings in the urban areas out of State Plan @ Rs 7.00 Lakh per AWC.
Action points • All buildings need to be completed timely • Construction of AWC buildings in 8 DMF districts can be saturated using DMF funds. • Rs 2.00 Lakhs to be provided out of DMF funds and the balance share of Rs 5.00 lakhs is to be met out of MGNREGS. • Districts to ensure construction of Toilets, Kitchens at AWCs and ensure electrification of all AWCs as per instructions sent.
Action points continued .. • Department has released funds for construction of 685 AWCs in urban areas in 2017-18 • All districts required to start construction at the earliest • Districts are required to identify sites for construction of balance 2700 AWC buildings • Provision is being made for 1000 AWC buildings during the Supplementary stage
