Importance of Privacy for families engaged with Social Media
We are aware that the majority of the social platforms are now being polluted by strangers who are seeking for ways to earn some money online, some are looking for their friends and relatives they haven’t seen and talked to for a long period of time. Well, there is nothing really wrong about it because social media is created to connect users with each other.
But for some families, the role of social media has been an emerging problem they have to solve before their family is completely destroyed. What happened and why it result to this? This is because of the strangers who has been blocking many families only way of communication. Aside from that, they are some instances wherein, family posts are being criticized by others and often result to misunderstanding.
These problems can actually be prevented and resolve if the families engaged with social media consider the use of a private social network. If they are still undecided, here are the reasons on why they have to use private social networks:
1. An easy connection with families We are not a psyche so we are clueless on the things that would happen. With private social networks, we can easily alert other family members if an emergency or announcements are being made and everybody’s presence are needed.
2. Can prevent crowded Platforms We can’t deny the fact that most of us had already garnered a hundred of friends on different social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Due to this, they are instances wherein we feel crowded it’s like it’s really hard to stay on the pick of everything. With a private social network, we can manage the flow our network easily because we have a minimal number of family members compared to our Twitter friends and Facebook.
3. Teaching Kids about Social Media/Networking is a lot easier If families are engaged with Private Social Networking, they can easily teach their children everything they have to know about social networking which includes the ethics and the dangers. Aside this is a great opportunity for other family members to get involved in sharing their experience and most likely kids will not listen to adults they will believe their cousins more.
4. Can share updates on family’s newest member As we observe, some parents do not find it nice to post their babies photos online as it is seen by the public. But they often do not have the choice because some of their relatives would want to see some pictures of the young fellow. With private social network, we will have no doubts and we will feel more secure because we are aware of the people who can see our posts.
