  5. MATERIALYou have several options when choosing the right Vacation Bible School Material Make a good guess on the number of children, adults and youth you will have to teach.   6. MATERIAL Where else can I get Vacation Bible School Material? You can look at our Fannin Baptist Association newsletter which can be found at www.fanninbaptistassociation.com, or call the association office at (903-583-2210). The newsletter will contain a list of churches having Bible schools and their dates. Call the other churches having Bible school before you and ask to use their left over literature and possibly decorations.

  7. WORKERSHow do I get teachers and helpers? The easiest way is to talk to individuals face to face. Start asking people to help you six to eight months before your Bible school date. Ask each individual you talk to what grade or age they would prefer to teach or work with. You need to have one worker for every 10 students Enlist helpers to assist your main teacher If you have teachers that are under the age of 18 you will need to have an adult worker to help in that room.

  8. WORKERSA few more pointers on getting teachers and helpers Once you have your material for each grade or rotation, go ahead and give it to that enlisted teacher. Keep an ongoing list of teachers and workers by grade or age. You need to make a notation by their name when you give them their material.

  9. WHERE SHOULD WE CONDUCT OUR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL? The first place we think to have our Bible school is at our church. The church is convenient because most of our supplies are handy. Be careful to consider where you can minister to the most children.

  10. How Do I Budget Money For Vacation Bible School? Think of these two things --How many kids --How many days do you plan to have your Bible school Multiply that number of kids by $10.

  12. BIBLE STUDYDecide what literature you want to use. Teachers are in charge of their class and the lessons. Let teachers pick their own helpers Let them make their own supply lists. Let them decorate their own rooms

  13. MUSICDecide what material you want to use. Teachers can use songs that come with the literature. Teachers may pick their own helpers and learn the motions. Let them decide if they want separate songs for preschool. Let them decorate their own rooms or the sanctuary.

  14. CRAFTSDecide what literature you want to use. Teachers can use craft ideas that come with the literature or their own ideas. Let teachers pick their own helpers and make supply list. Let them decide if they want separate crafts for preschool. Let them decorate their own room.

  15. SNACKSDecide what literature you want to use You can just serve punch and cookies. You can serve snacks that are recommended for your Bible school “Theme” Fun! Snack Packet Check allergies on all registration forms!

  16. RECREATIONDecide what literature you want to use There are lots of theme suggestions in your literature. Get a coach or school gym teacher to do this Always have a first aid kit. Make sure you have inside games ready in case of rain or bad weather.

  17. REGISTRATIONDon’t forget to get all the important information on each child This is your greatest tool before, during and after VBS!!! Don’t forget to add an allergy information box! Plan a registration event.
