  2. If you were given the privilege to enter every household, you would notice one thing that is constantly present - television. In today's digital age, you wouldn't see a home without television sets. Most of them have even more than one just in a single household. Although some may have the same television brand or series, this doesn't mean that they also have the same medium for television broadcasting. There are various ways on how each household access programming. They are through cable, dishes, subscription, and antennas. Among the said channels, antennas are but the most common yet popular way of accessing television broadcasting. Even though it is a very cost-effective approach, consumers should be equipped with knowledge before buying it.

  3. Type When choosing a type of antenna, the location of your home plays a key role in proper identification. If your home is located in a high-rise apartment in a busy city like New York, you can only use an indoor antenna that is normally placed at the top of the television cabinet. This type of antenna will typically pull in all of the channels and other channels easily. On the other hand, if you are living in a bungalow or 1-story houses, it is better to use a bigger antenna to be mounted in the roof.

  4. Range of antenna Manufacturers typically have a certain range assumption on their antennas. Other antennas types are termed to be "Long Range" that has the capability to receive signals in locations that is more than 45 miles. However, the specification that the manufacturer may not what the actual antenna can do so it is better to test them out first.

  5. Installation Although you may already know that bigger antennas work great for bungalow houses, it is necessary that you should be prepared with the antenna installation. There will be running cables and mounting brackets needed to get the antenna installed successfully. On the other hand, if you were to install an indoor antenna, you will only need to plug it in a digital converter box that is attached to an analog TV. Even if you have set the antenna itself, you will still need to position it well to know where the best reception may be.
