  7. If you click on the HTML button on the WYSIWYG editing bar, you can paste embeddable HTML code to display widgets in your Writing Prompt instructions. WYSIWYG Editing

  8. Inserting Hyperlinks Highlight the text you want to become the hyperlink Click the link icon

  9. Helpful Tip! • Change Target to “Open in New Window” • If the hyperlink is set to “Open in This Window” students will lose all their work when they navigate to the hyperlink

  15. CREATING CLASSES AND ASSIGNING CONTENT WITH DISCOVERY EDUCATION

  16. After logging into Discovery Education, select My Classrooms from the top banner. Click on Create a Classroom to get started.

  17. Name your class Set the start and end dates

  18. Select students from your school/district roster and/or add new students.

  19. Review your class. Create duplicate classrooms if necessary (e.g. different subjects for elementary classrooms, separate classrooms for Reading and Writing in Language Arts blocks, specialized populations for integrated classes, etc.)

  20. Select My Builder Tools to create and assign Assignments, Writing Prompts, Quizzes, and assessments to entire classes or to specific students.
