Mission and Accreditation Our mission is to provide education that enables our graduates to reach their career and life goals by having the knowledge and skills that meet business, industry and government needs. Our decision to seek and maintain the rigorous outcomes-based national accreditation awarded by ACICS is consistent with our goals as a private career college. Recognized by CHEA and the U.S. Department of Education, ACICS has required private, non-public colleges to follow a deliberate and thorough accreditation process of quality assurance and ethical practices since 1912.
Accreditation Assurance ACICS requires “Annual Reports” from all accredited institutions which include enrollments, withdrawals, graduates, job placements, and default rates. Audited annual financial statements must meet specific standards. Accredited institutions must apply for renewal of accreditation following a process that includes a one-year self study, an on-site visit by an accreditation team and a final review by the Accrediting Commission. Institutions that meet the renewal standards are re-accredited for a period of one to eight years based on the quality and performance of the institution. In 2006, Minnesota School of Business campuses received an eight year renewal of its accreditation and were recognized as “Honor Schools.”
Standards of Excellence Our institutions achieved national accreditation in 1972 and have consistently met or surpassed these standards in all site visits by the accrediting commission. Our adherence to the Standards of Excellence has resulted in Title IV eligibility for our students in the federal financial assistance programs as well as the various state-level financial assistance programs.

Helping Students Complete • Deans of Students, Academic Coordinators and Student Services Coordinators provide students with a well-supported path to complete their training and find employment. • Our student-centered culture supports progress toward graduation with resources such as: • Transfer credit, advanced standing tests, prior learning assessment, credit for prior professional work experience • Academic advising and scheduling to track progress toward graduation • Study skills seminars and tutoring labs • Housing, daycare and transportation assistance
Finding Employment • Program Coordinators ensure relevancy between the curriculum and the needs of employers. • Career Services staff work with students to build an individualized strategy for securing employment. • All students acquire current job seeking skills as part of a uniquely designed course that includes efolios, resumes, interviewing skills and social media networking.
Outcomes July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 During the most recent reporting period, our Student Success Outcomes showed that: • our Student Retention across all programs was 72.3% • our Graduate Placement across all programs was 85.2%
