  1. Web Page Design 1 & or YTEWeekly Agenda # 2 Dedication of the “New” Veterans Memorial Stadium The following are our student and teacher expectations/goals for this week. Please refer to our Massachusetts State Technology Standards, our LHS Scope and Sequence Document, and our Web 1 Curriculum guide for exact details of what we will be covering over the length of this course. We will have a new Weekly Agenda posted each Monday morning. This week existing students we will be working on Power Point Presentations tutorials.

  2. Before proceeding with your work you should review and understand all of the items in your weekly agenda. Please continue to read this document until the end. After reading the entire document you should then go back and follow the directional numbers. • Our goal for this week is to continue building upon our knowledge of Power Point and to Discover and to put into practice all the different functions that Power Point has available to the end user. The end user is you the student. • If you completed your Weekly Reflection from this past Friday: 9.11.09, please continue to # 4. If you have not completed the Weekly Reflection or did not give yourself a Student Rubric Grade, please do so after reading the rest of this document. You will then continue to # 4. • Please access your folder.

After creating your folders please drag and drop your files into the appropriate folder, such as My Family.ppt to your PPP folder. • If you are a new student, please continue to work on your first attempt at your “Family” power point presentation. You should spend no more than four days on your first attempt. When you have spent four days on your project, please see me and we will make a copy of the presentation and paste it into your PPP folder. At the end of four days you will go onto your tutorials. • Existing student should log onto www.actden.com> PowerPoint 2003

  5. Please Read ,Review and Complete each tutorial including the self assessment quizzes. When you learn a new trick from the tutorial, incorporate that trick into your COPY not your original. You should be able to complete at least one tutorial per class. The following is a list of techniques (tricks) by Unit that you should incorporate into your Copy: • Unit 3: • Create a text box Move a text box • Re-size a text box Copy a text box • Add color to a text box Outline a text box • Remove the lines from a text box • Change the size of a line around a text box • Change the font Change font color • Add bullets Add numbers • Add color for a bullet • Change your background color • Change your background pattern • Activate spell check

  7. Your homework for this week is to read chapter one. Please review the quiz at the end of the chapter. I will be giving you a quiz on next Wednesday 9.23.09. • On Wednesday, we will complete our first QUIZ on our Internet Usage Policy or the AUP (authorized usage policy). • When you are completed with the eight power point presentations, please see me in order that I may review and approve your project. • On Friday, please complete a weekly reflection with an appropriate rubric grade included at the end of your document. Please remember to name the document as 9.18.09 and file it under your weekly reflection folder. Enjoy the week!
