Xpress Atlanta Downtown Rerouting Issues • Atlanta Streetcar Utility Relocation and Construction Begins December 1, 2011 • MARTA, CCT, GCT, and Xpress all have routing conflicts on Peachtree Street and around Woodruff Park • Riders on all systems affected • MARTA: will detour the three routes that use Peachtree Street during the time of construction • Xpress: all downtown Atlanta service (67% of total Xpress service, permanent rerouting) • GCT: all downtown service, permanent rerouting – Xpress East plan • CCT: all downtown service, permanent rerouting – CCT plan • Federal Center, Capitol Hill, Peachtree Center riders minimally affected • Woodruff Park, Fairlie-Poplar and Georgia Pacific riders have two – five block extra walk am and pm • Civic Center MARTA Station customers will use east routing – west routing does not travel to Civic

10 of 25 Xpress downtown routes will use West Side Alignment Applies to service from 9 of 12 counties
Xpress Downtown Rerouting Timeline • September 15, 2011 GRTA given notice by City of Atlanta to relocate routes to accommodate Streetcar construction (utility relocation begins Dec. 1) • October 24, 2011 – November 23 Public Comment Period (including Open House meetings) • March 2012 Rerouting Plan implemented • October 2011GRTA transit staff develops East/West Routing Plan based on previous agreement with City • December 14, 2011 GRTA Board will vote on Final Rerouting Plan
