  1. POSITIVE SUPPORT AT CREST SCHOOL How does PBS fit our mission? PBS focuses on teaching students expectations, replacement behaviors and academic skills. How does PBS fit our belief? The school-wide expectations are written to promote a learning environment. This will promote opportunities for participation and integration into our community. How does PBS fit our School Improvement plan? We will create a school-wide expectations for consistency and have a focus on developing rules across settings that will include in our SIP. PBS has helped us organize our information and create useful reports to analyze. We are able to detect areas that need attention and recognize procedures that are working.

  2. pbs critical elements • PBS Team established (membership, meeting times, leader, roles, mission) • Basic behavioral principles taught/reviewed with staff • Faculty commitment is obtained and maintained throughout the school year • Existing discipline data system is meaningful, data entered weekly and analysis plan established • Discipline referral form compatible with SWIS • Behaviors defined & categorized (minor.major) • Discipline referral process established and flow chart developed • Develop a Crisis Plan integrated into overall safety and PBS plans • Consequences hierarchy developed (for classroom & office)
