Explanations • Why I chose Richard Avedon • I have admired Avedon’s work for years. His ability to capture motion and feeling is extraordionary. His work is crucial to modern day fashion photography. • Why people like Richard Avedon • When you see Avedon’s portraits you feel like you realy know the subject of the photograph. I believe people appreciate the feeling of when you look at a portrait you aren’t simply seeing someone posing, but being themselves. • How Avedon’s work could be used in other contemporary media • Avedon’s work could be used in many ways. It could be used in collages or even film.
