Before pyramids were built to become a proper burial of a pharoh, there were, in fact well- constructed mounds, which eventually led to pyramids. • One pharoh (Pharaoh Djoser) saw the designs of a well constructed mound, and had the idea of building a pyramid. The Step Pyramid of Djoser, they called it. • The Step Pyramid complex was enclosed by a 30-foot (10-meter) wall and included courtyards, temples, and chapels covering nearly 40 acres (16 hectares)—the size of a large town in the third millennium B.C. It is believed that the pharoh would draft workers againest their will, about 100,000, to build the pyramid. It probably would have taken at least 8 men nine or ten days to drag the 2 and half ton block of stone to the pyramid and place it on top. The most likly way for them to have been able to drag the stone blocks up to the top of the pyrmids was to use ramps. How it was built

The egyptians built these as a path to the stars to let the king’s soul escape. Queen’s chamber is under the king’s chamber and is smaller. Tourists are never allowed to view this area.
