Ratio Mixed Treasure Trail - Solve, Find and Simplify Ratios!

Engage students in a fun and interactive treasure trail activity to practice solving, finding, and simplifying ratios. Students start at any question poster, calculate the answer, and find the poster with that answer at the top. They continue until they complete the circular trail, recording the letters of the completed questions. Great for reinforcing ratio concepts!

  1. Ratio – Mixed – Treasure Trail Students can start the trail at any question poster. Once they have calculated the answer they should then find the poster that has that answer at the top. Students go from one question to the next until they have completed the full circular trail. Students should record the letters of the questions they have completed. (Clear plastic wallets around your classroom make it quick and easy to display posters.)

  2. Printing To print full page posters - Click: File > Print. Enter ‘4-20’ in ‘Slides:’ To print half-size posters - Click: File > Print. Select ‘Full Page Slides’, then ‘2 Slides’.

  4. 1:5 I Find the ratio of squares to circles and simplify.

  5. £300 C Janice was mixing a drink. She needed to mix concentrate to water in the ratio 3:4 She had 240ml of concentrate. How much water did she need?

  6. £16 N Find the ratio of hexagons to triangles. What fraction of the shapes are triangles?

  7. H Sam & Pam & Dan stole £360! They shared it in the ratio 1:2:3 How much did Pam & Dan get together?

  8. C 125ml 56:77 Write this ratio in its simplest form.

  9. E 1:4 Michael was mixing a drink. He needed to mix concentrate to water in the ratio 5:6 He had 150ml of water. How much concentrate did he need?

  10. £50 F Find the ratio of triangles to circles. What fraction of the shapes are triangles?

  11. B 320ml Tom & Dom got their pocket money in the ratio 4:5 Dom got £20 a week. How much did Tom get a week?

  12. A 8:11 Two ninjas stole £300! The first ninja got £50. What ratio did they share the money in?

  13. 3:2 O John & Jane stole £250! They shared it in the ratio 4:1 How much did Jane get?

  14. £250 J 240:320 Write this ratio in its simplest form.

  15. £80 P What is the ratio of hearts to stars?

  16. M 4:5 Danny was mixing a drink. He mixed concentrate to water in the ratio 6:5 She used 250ml of water. How much concentrate did she use?
