  1. Data Glasses By Brandon Pyle MIS 10-6-09

  2. How they work Glasses are connected to a PDA to control data which is projected directly into the users retina Glasses incorporate a CMOS chip with an eye tracker to allow glasses to become interactive Eye glasses can be bi directional with information present or hidden.

  3. How this is possible The Image is projected from a micro display behind the hinge into the retina making image appear to be about a meter away To outshine any ambient light in changing conditions scientists developed OLEDs (Organic Light-Emitting Diodes) which produce micro display with very high luminosity using limited power

  4. Effect IT/IS? Huge impact on the way information is displayed and traded between people Allows head-mounted display to assist in data processing for many technical professional such as doctor, engineers, or installation technicians

  5. Future “Smart glasses” with eye recognition technology will be able to know what you are looking at, analyze, and present you with data. Eye recognition technology will allow these glasses to be used independently, being able to control all aspects of the glasses with just a look of your eyes.
