  20. MAR-FIX Exterior wall for direct application on clay brick, concrete block, AAC block, precast/in-situ concrete and stone. MAMCO

  21. MAR-FIX PREPARATION OF SURFACE: MAMCO

  22. MAR-FIX Ensure all dust, dirt and foreign matter are brushed and scraped away. MAMCO

  23. MAR-FIX Also ensure surface is solid, free from salts, oil, grease and ridges. MAMCO

  24. MAR-FIX Protect all adjacent surfaces not to be coated. MAMCO

  25. MAR-FIX Apply a coat of penetrating primer to absorbent surfaces such as AAC blocks. MAMCO

  26. MAR-FIX A key coat is required on very smooth surfaces such as precast or in-situ concrete (1pt Mar-Fix, 0.4 pts. water, 0.08 pts. bond) MAMCO

  27. MAR-FIX MIXING: MAMCO

  28. MAR-FIX Mix 20 kgs of Mar-Fix with 5 – 6 ltrs of clean water for 3 minutes. MAMCO

  29. MAR-FIX Ensure that mixing time and ratio of powder/ water are constant to ensure colour consistency. MAMCO

  30. MAR-FIX Allow material to stand for 5 minutes, remix and use. Prepared material should be used within 4 hours. MAMCO

  31. MAR-FIX APPLICATION AND CLEANING OF TOOLS: MAMCO

  32. MAR-FIX Saturate the substrate with water to reduce suction of water from the product the day before application and again 1 hour before application. MAMCO

  33. MAR-FIX Spread the Mar-Fix mortar over the substrate in a 6-8mm layer. MAMCO

  34. MAR-FIX Trowel to a smooth level surface. MAMCO

  35. MAR-FIX After a period of approx. 10 minutes spray the marble chips over the mortar. MAMCO

  36. MAR-FIX Tamp the surface with a trowel to embed the chips into the mortar. MAMCO

  37. MAR-FIX Clean equipment with water immediately after use. MAMCO

  38. MAR-FIX PRECAUTIONS: MAMCO

  39. MAR-FIX Do not apply below 8 Degree Celsiusas there is risk of efflorescence. MAMCO

  40. MAR-FIX Do not apply on horizontal surfaces. MAMCO

  41. MAR-FIX Do not apply on gypsum-based substrates. MAMCO

  42. MAR-FIX Do not use at ground level to avoid staining. MAMCO

  43. MAR-FIX When applying at high temperatures, ensure that surface is cured for at least 72 hours after application. MAMCO

  48. MAR-FIX Mar-Fix is packed in a polypropylene sacks of 20 kgs net weight on wooden pallets. MAMCO

  49. MAR-FIX MAR-FIX should be stored in a clean, shaded, and dry area as supplied. MAMCO

  50. MAR-FIX Unopened bags can be stored for 6 months. use oldest material first. MAMCO
