Aew gente aque vcs falam oq é black sabath.. Tah la no wikipédia okk! Black Sabbath is a heavy metal band formed in 1968 in Birmingham, UK. Its "historic" is made up of Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Bill Ward (drums).
Later, there were numerous changes in the band, and Iommi was the only fixed component. Although sometimes be classified as a hard rock band (Butler sets the style once heavy and distorted blues), Black Sabbath is considered an early heavy metal acts in history alongside Led Zeppelin and also contributed greatly to the development this type of genre. From 1970 to 2000, sold more than one hundred million copies of albums, making the Black Sabbath one of the most successful heavy metal bands, alongside Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead and Metallica.
Origins will debut ... The embryo came from Black Sabbath in 1966 in Aston, a town of Birmingham, England. The story began when guitarist Anthony "Tony" Iommi and drummer William "Bill" Ward (both group mithology) read in a store, the announcement of a singer who was looking for musicians to form a band. The singer was John "Ozzy" Osbourne was a rival of Iommi during the school . Iommi and Ward went to Ozzy's house and decided to form a complex musical. Osbourne led the group with two other musicians who had played with him in the band Rare Breed: guitarists Terence "Geezer" Butler and Jimmy Phillips.
Afterward, Butler took the role of bassist, and was also assoldato by saxophonist Alan "Aker" Clarke. The band initially chose the name Polka Tulk Blues and later shortened to Polka Tulk, and began building a repertoire, especially blues. Later, Clarke and Phillips leave the group and the remaining members decided to change its name to Earth. The formation displays in several locations, playing covers of Jimi Hendrix, Blue Cheer, Cream and The Beatles, [13], and carved the first demo in 1968. It gathered some success in the area of pubs and British allowed the group to make a name abroad, thanks to manager Jim Simpson.
After a short period, the band's name was changed because there was another group called Earth. [14] The choice of the name later came to the idea of Butler, a big fan of the novels of "black magic" and "terror" of authors as Dennis Wheatley. Butler had seen the film by Italian horror director Mario Bava, I Tre Volta Della Paura (The Three Faces of Horror) 1963, but appears under the name Black Sabbath in England and USA [15] and wrote a song that incorporates the movie title. This became the new name of the group [10].
The new name is accompanied by a transition to a new blues sound, first with elements of folk and then with increasingly powerful and dark tones until a new solution for which the group became famous and would have been numbered for many critics, such as major pioneers of heavy metal. The first record that the band was signed to Fontana Records and later with Vertigo. On February 13, 1970, was published the band's debut album, simply titled Black Sabbath.
The term''classic'' The first work, Black Sabbath, was a great success (eighth in the standings English) , due in large part to the historic atmosphere of compositions like "Black Sabbath," "The Wizard" and "NIB". The record, for many, was the opening of a rock more original, both in the sense of sound, more heavy, dense and distorted; as in the case of letters. Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, other influential heavy metal bands of the time, had a more melodic and closer to other styles like blues, folk and rock n 'roll. The music of the Sabbath principle had similar characteristics, but with time the band has invested in a sound heavier and darker themes, with explicit references to "demons" and issues involving the occult, which was new and controversial at the time.
Although this kind of topic could possibly be seen in the work of other groups such as the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, thanks to their persistence in this proposal, was largely responsible for a stereotype that was perpetuated in the world of heavy metal . This type of proposal took the band to suffer numerous criticisms, the most conservative accused them of promoting "Satanism" and that used to feed disapproval of much of public opinion. However, such controversies only contributed most to the success that Black Sabbath has had with its large audience of young people.
The next album, Paranoid, so far the most commercially successful of the group (first placement in English, seven platinum and gold), [17] is considered of great importance to the basics of heavy metal. The work for Black Sabbath raised thousands of fans around the world, thanks to songs like "Paranoid," "Iron Man," "Electric Funeral" and "War Pigs." With this work, the group went beyond the gloomy atmosphere of the songs with more mature themes. "War Pigs", for example, is a critique of politicians held accountable for the horrors of war and "Iron Man" has a purely science-fiction text.
In 1971, the group released their third album, Master of Reality, a notable success. It was probably the most obscure and introspective album of the band. This work, along with Black Sabbath and Paranoid, is considered the album that inspired doom metal. [18] In addition to the style Sabbath songs like "Children of the Grave" and "After Forever" (curiously accused of blasphemy, despite have a strong Christian leadership), [19] The album is known mainly for their stylistic "allegations" (found in songs like "Sweet Leaf," "Lord of This World," "Solitude" and "Into the Void" ), which formed the basis for bands like Saint Vitus and Candlemass.
