Merit/Demerit System • NOT authorized
Field Training Preparation • Must be accomplished within LLAB or FTP class sessions • Must be conducted in an “at ease” learning environment • FT unique decorum only during LLAB (squaring corners, seven basic responses, etc) • Must avoid activities that simulate stresses of FT environment
LLAB Grading Criteria& Make-up LLAB • LLAB is pass/fail & does not effect your AS grade • In order to pass LLAB you MUST: • Attend 80% of all LLAB and PT sessions • Attempt the PFA once per academic term • Not show indifference to military training Note: contract cadets must pass PFA prior to the end of the academic term • Make up PT session held Fridays, 0600 (PT uniform required) at the gym • Make up LLAB • Report to Capt Boardman NLT two weeks after the missed session to check out DVD • Must be viewed in cadet area during business hours • Questions over objectives covered should be directed at POC or OFC
AFROTC Uniform Wear Authorized NOT Authorized Fundraising Unofficial travel Political rallies Religious services Note: public displays of affection and cell phone use while walking in uniform are not authorized • Professional Military Training • LLAB • PT • AFROTC sponsored events & travel • Dining out • Texas Det Field Day • Camp Bullis • Field Training Bottom line…DO NOT wear your uniform unless cadre authorize it!
Department of Labor Medical Care • Four categories: • PMT (ex: LLAB, PT) • Covered?: YES • Voluntary PMT (ex: Honor Guard, AAS & Silver Wings events, FTP class) • Covered?: YES - Honor Guard, FTP class NO - AAS, Silver Wings • AFROTC sponsored activities (ex: Texas Det Field Day, Camp Bullis, Dining Out) • Covered?: YES • Non-PMT (ex: Fundraising, university sports or classes, PT not supervised by cadre member, cadet staff meetings) • Covered under DoL?: NO Gross negligence or misconduct on the cadet’s part may result in the loss of medical coverage/benefits
Relationships with Subordinates • Relationships within the cadet wing are not prohibited • However: • Cadets in a relationship cannot serve in the same chain of command • Cadets are forbidden from: • Using rank/position to take, or be perceived as taking, undue advantage of subordinates • Physical maltreatment, physical contact, verbal maltreatment, maltraining, physical discipline, discrimination, sexual or other types of harassment, hazing, oppression, initiation or rites of passage or deprivation of legal rights • If you or someone you know forms a relationship that meets the aforementioned criteria, or becomes harmful to “good order and discipline,” notify a cadre member immediately
