  1. Ticket collection guide As all UK Rail tickets are issued as TOD, travellers will need to retrieve their actual travel documents prior to boarding their train. The booking summary is not valid for travel… • When ? • Train tickets can be collected at any staffed station ticket office before departure • To avoid last minute rush, we recommend that travellers arrive at the station at least 20 minutes prior to train departure • Where ? • Travellers can collect their actual tickets • - Either at a staffed ticket office in a train station • - Or at a "TVM" (Ticket Vending Machine), also known as "Fast Ticket" • There are more than 976 stations equipped with TVMs in the UK (complete list available in Extranet) • How? • To collect their actual travel documents, travellers will need to quote their reference number (PNR), available on the booking summary • When retrieving their tickets from a TVM, they will also need to • insert their debit/credit card to activate the machine (the TVM doesn't debit the card) – not • necessary the same card you used to pay. • - follow the steps indicated on the screen of the TVM

  2. How do I collect my UK train tickets? Your "Booking summary" contains useful information about your trip but is not valid for travel. You need to collect your actual train tickets prior to boarding. • Either at any staffed station ticket office • Just quote your "PNR" (the 8-character code indicated on your booking summary) to the ticket clerk • You may be asked to provide a proof of identity (a photo id for instance) • Or at a Ticket Vending Machine ("TVM", also known as "Fast Ticket") • Insert your credit/debit card in the machine to activate it - not necessary the same card you used to pay  • Don't worry, your card won't be charged • Enter the "PNR" (8-character code indicated on your booking summary) indicated on your booking summary, when asked by the machine • Follow the instructions on the screen and collect your tickets • Insider tips… • Don't wait until the last minute! Plan to arrive at the station at least 20 minutes prior to your train departure in order to leave you time to find the platform and print your tickets • Should you have any problem with a TVM, please make sure you followed all the steps and ask a ticket clerk for help
