  2. Novell • Log-in to the computers using changeme • Second log-in box is for the workstation—if you are using a student computer the password if student. You can change it to teacher and click OK

  3. Novell Advanced Tab • Tree: Lets you know if you are connected to CBPS • Context: Make sure it is on STAFF • Server: May be HS or ES

  4. Web Security • Every time you go on the Internet you will have to log on • When you close the Internet, this will keep others from logging in behind you • Sign your AUP (Acceptable Use Policy)

  5. Network vs. Computer • Find your “H” drive on the Network • Find the “Lesson Plan” drive on the Network • Find the “Principals” drive for your lesson plans

  6. E-mail • You will use Google Email-but you need to go through the school web site- The domain is housed here • Check you e-mail on www.cbschools.net anywhere • Under Quick Links—GoogleApps Email Access

  7. Instant Messaging • Go to Start—All Programs—Novell (Common)—Novell Send Message • Right click and send to desktop for a short cut • If you right click on the N at the bottom right corner you can log into a computer already up and running • You can instant message in your Google Mail

  8. SchoolinSites • http://colonialbeach.va.cbh.schoolinsites.com/ • http://colonialbeach.va.cbe.schoolinsites.com/ • Manage your pages • Add Contents • Add Assignments and Links • Must be updated weekly

  9. Managing Your Web Page When you log into the school site you will need to go to Page Settings first.

  10. Video Streaming • www.unitedstreaming.com • In your ZENworks window and on-line • Can download and save • http://classroomclips.org/ • Free classroom clips after you register

  11. PowerTeacher • This is your grade book and attendance • Log in using your Novell box or from the web site- www.cbschools.net • Use the side menu bar PowerSchool tab and click on Power Teacher

  12. Child Abuse Prevention & Intervention Standards • Online Test

  13. Technology Standards • If not on your license you will need to take a test with the ITRT
