Space Appl’s for Human Life Protection • “Classic” Telemedicine; • True-mobile Telemedicine: • remote infrastructureless areas; • mobile telemedical units; • fast medical and communication equipment deployment; • Mobile monitoring of humans: • post-clinic monitoring; • humans under high risk conditions. • Integration with environment protection: • disaster management medical support; • humans as part of the environment.. • Integration with “human security” concept: • drugs control and epidemic watch; • bio-terrorism prevention.

Mobile Telemedicine kick-off • First true-mobile telemedicine demonstration in the Danube Delta • The 25th of June 2004 • with the participation of: • Romanian Space Agency ROSA; • Emergency District Hospital Constantza; • Fundeni Clinical Institute; • Virginia Commonwealth University and NASA. • with the outstanding support of medical equipment suplier, satellite communication and IT&C companies
