  2. What is an artificial satellite? • Artificial satellites are human-built objects orbiting the Earth and other planets in the Solar System. Artificial satellites are used to study the earth in more detail. Also they help us communicate and even observe the distant universe.

  3. How do we use them? • Here are some of the things we can use artificial satellites: • Communication, including broadcasting television programs and relaying telephone calls. • Global positioning system {gps} and galilieo and satellites for navigation. • Collecting information to help with weather forecasts. • Scientific surveys of the earths surface. • Map making • spying
