Od kontynentalnej Europy oddzielona jest Kanałem La Manche . obejmuje północną część wyspy Wielkiej Brytanii .Na południu graniczy z Anglią.  Stolicą Szkocji jest Edynburg. Szkocja posiada własny parlament oraz własne banknoty i monety. Irlandia Płn. Walia położona w południowo-zachodniej części wyspy Wielka Brytania, na zachód od Anglii. Stolicą Walii jest Cardiff. Położona jest w północnej części wyspy Irlandia. Stolicą Irlandii Północnej jest Belfast. Na południu graniczy z niezależnym państwem Irlandią.

3. Monarchia Wielkiej Brytanii Wielka Brytania jest monarchią parlamentarną . Stolicą państwa jest Londyn. Obecnym monarchą brytyjskim jest królowa Elżbieta II . Dzisiaj jej funkcje są głównie ceremonialne, a rzeczywiste rządy spoczywają w rękach premiera.
