  3. IMPORTANT DATES • 1st Game-Wednesday September 11 • Saturday Practice August 24th 8:30 AM-10 AM • NO PRACTICE SEPTEMBER 2nd Labor Day • October 5 UIL Grade check for eligibility

  4. ACADEMICS • Athletes need to keep up with grades • Periodic grade checks by coaches and UIL mandated grade checks at 6 and 9 weeks • No pass no play

  5. Football Practice • Practice everyday after school until 5:45 pm at the latest • Be picked up by 6pm at the back of the school • Car pools are encouraged, please be picked up on time • Water breaks are planned and available to students throughout practice

  6. Football Games • A-Team and B-Team • Playing time earned in practice • 2 games- A-Team plays first 4:30PM B-Team plays at 5:30PM • Ride the bus to and from the game • No parents on team sideline

  7. EXPECTATIONS • ATHLETICS IS A PRIVLIGE! • Athletes held to higher standard. • Academics • Behavior • Be a positive role model

  8. INJURIES • High School athletic trainers are available for minor injuries and treatment

  9. WELLNESS • TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY • Hydration-Important to stay hydrated, water is best. • Nutrition

  10. Football Pads • Provided by school • Players must go four days without pads as stated by UIL rules
