Class: CSE 3 Prof. : Susan Marx • The Basics of The Technology WorldBy Pui Ying Kan Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript In this course, we learn a lot of basic skills that would be very useful in this technology world we are living now. We learn skills such as HTML, java script, power point, excel, Alice, etc. Using excel or spreadsheet (its common name), we are able to do calculations and data analyzes easily and neatly. Thus, excel also become very useful on making tables for future plans or budget keeping. Desktop Publishing with MS Word In this section we have learn how to present information in a formal , organized way using Microsoft Word. By using the templates and different function we are able to present out portfolio in a decent way. With the knowledge of javascript, we are able to make webpages in order to present or work out some function in the form we want. Thus, javascript is also a very common computer language that will become very handy when we need it. Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint Visual Programming with Alice Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages By learning Alice, we are able to make simple 3D animations using simple commands. With the help of HTML, we are able to present our information globally on the internet in a neat, organized way.
