  3. SisterLove is on a MISSION • To eradicate the impact of HIV/AIDS and other reproductive health challenges upon women and their families through education, prevention, support, research and human rights advocacy in the United States and around the world.

  4. Who We Are • Founded July 1989 • Metropolitan Atlanta, GA – 25 County Area • 11 Full time, 3 Part time • Serve over 5,000 women, men & youth per year • 2+1 Office locations • Annual Budget $1,021,960

Do the Studies Change Things?YES! • Increase women’s level of health & research literacy • Requires greater integration and incorporation of HIV, STD and Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights • Will strengthen bridge between women in the Deep South and Global South • Help us reach goals of NHAS faster? • Helps advance any advocacy on the intersection of Prevention & Treatment

What To Do? • Increase investment in a specific pipeline for women’s HIV & Sexual/Reproductive Health Researchers • Invest in Pilot or Initiative to Promote CBPR among HIV & SRH organizations and institutions • Fund more integrated research that bridges behavior, social, biomedical, observational & community practice • Fund more high quality NON RCT research OR invest in more RCT+ • Pay attention to Women – or Pay More Money Later.
