  26. FAQ With your help, patients can share access to their account with another family member through the establishment of a proxy. To set up the proxy you would send an invitation from your patient’s account to the family member’s MU Healthe account email. The family member can claim the invitation on behalf of the patient, which then creates the connection. Frequently asked Question on Minors • You have one parent that has 3 children. That parent wants access to all of her children's charts. In this case you would perform the invite process for each child separately but you would enter the same email for each child. When the parent claims the invite, they will create one Cerner Health Account and can tie that account to all of their children's accounts (only one login for the parent). • You have a pair of divorced parents who have 3 children and each want access to all 3 charts. In this case you would do the same as above, but you would re-invite each child using the other parents email also. This way both have that access. In either case, when they register the parents will each have their own logins. • You have 2 parents that both want access, but they don't share email accounts. You would use the same scenario spelled out in the above example. • You have 2 parents that both want access, but they do share email accounts. You would use the same scenario spelled out in the first example.

  27. Patients under 18 years old Patients Under Age 18 • Patients under the age of 18 can be registered for an MU Healthe account. The parent’s e-mail or a shared family e-mail will be captured during the registration process. The parent receives an e-mail invitation addressed to the parent or guardian of the underage patient. The invitation is claimed and only the parent or guardian has access to the account. • Multiple parents and the child can have access by sending out an additional proxy invitation by opening a new PM registration conversation and entering a new email address. • One month before the patient turns 18, an e-mail will be sent to the email address that was given during registration notifying them that the account will terminate when the child turns 18 and they will no longer be able to access the account. • The 18 year old patient will need to sign up for a new account. If desired they can then proxy, a parent if they would like them to see their account. • NOTE: Only a legal guardian should be issued an invitation to a minor’s account. In the event that the minor is visiting with an adult that is not a legal guardian they should not be issued an invitation.

  28. Consumer Care Team • The Consumer Care team is responsible for providing support to patients and can be reached 24 hours/day, seven days/week at (877) 621-8014. Your clinic will have materials available to help educate patients.
