Mt Vesuvius By Sadhbh Clarke
Mt. Vesuvius • Mt.Vesuvius is a volcano in Pompeii, Italy. • It erupted in 79 ad • It didn’t have lava, just pumice and ash • It covered two cities not one • The cities were Pompeii and Herculaneum
The Eruption • The eruption wasn’t what you probably expect • It didn’t have lava, only pumice and ash • Many people suffocated on the ash • The shape of their bodies can be seen in the same position in which they fell as the ash from Vesuvius covered them.
Every Day Life In Pompeii! Every day life in Pompeii was nearly exactly like ours. We have lunch, they had luncheon. They had a nap called a siesta in the afternoon. Modern day Mediterranean people still have a siesta. Children came home from school to have their siesta, then they went back to school to finish their school day. Their houses were not like ours, they had tiles on the walls and lovely ornaments.
My Evaluation • I would have put more colour into it • I would have put more photos in • I think it would be better to put another slide in!
