  2. Course Description This course will prepare you for the IBM Foundations of IBM Cloud V1 Certification exam. You will review many concepts covered on the exam, including Cloud concepts, architecting the IBM Cloud for IaaS, and PaaS, and SaaS solutions, as well as IBM Cloud Applications including Platform-as-a-Service and Software-as-a-Service, middleware, Watson Services, and modernization of applications.

  3. Objectives To prepare students to take the certification exam, this class will review: • Cloud computing and the IBM Cloud • IBM Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service • IBM Cloud Platform-as-a-Service • IBM Cloud Software-as-a-Service • Big Data • Designing for the IBM Cloud • IBM Cloud solutions­­

Prerequisites Participants should have: • An understanding of Cloud concepts • Knowledge about defining IT Cloud architecture needs • A working knowledge of IBM Cloud Service Management architecture • A working knowledge of IBM Cloud architecture principles and patterns • Working knowledge of designing a comprehensive IBM Cloud solution • Working knowledge of how to implement IBM Cloud Infrastructure concepts • Working knowledge of the various types of clouds and -as a service- offerings • Working knowledge of the cloud infrastructure technologies: systems, storage, security, networking, virtualization technologies, etc. (functional and non-functional requirements)
