Q4: Howis total ozonedistributedovertheglobe? • Total Ozone: sumof all theozone in theatmospheredirectlyabovethelocationwherethemeasurementtakesplace Dobson units • Strong temporal (dailytoseasonal) andspatial (vertical, latitudinal and longitudinal) variations (200-500 DU) • Source region: tropics (UV light), but largestvaluesarefoundat high latitudes, lowest values in thetropics  large-scaleaircirculation in thestratospheretransports ozonetowardthepoles (Brewer-Dobson circulation) • Seasonalvariationsofthistransport, different production/destructionratesandsmall-scaledynamicscause global distributionpattern
