EAII WG Scope • Co-Chairs: Andre Maizener, EdF (utility) (andre.maizener@edf.fr) and Harry Garton, Xtensible Solutions (vendor) (hgarton@xtensible.net) • Scope: Drive the understanding and implementation of CIM-based message exchange to support efficient and effective communication while establishing a forum for the sharing of such information as well as best practices for exchange of CIM-based information • This group is proposing a merger with the Tools WG
Model Exchange & Naming WG Scope • Chair: Jay Britton, Areva (jay.britton@areva-td.com) • TF scope covers the use of CIM standards for exchange of power system modeling information among participants in interconnected transmission grids. • Operations and planning. • Static model exchange standard (61970-452/552) • Power flow exchange standards for case inputs and steady-state solutions • Naming practices and Identification of modeling objects in model exchange business processes. • Liaisons to NERC & ENTSO-E (formerly UCTE)

Process WG Scope • Co-chairs: Terry Saxton (tsaxton@xtensible.net)& Ed Dobrowolski (ed.dobrowolski@nerc.net) • Scope: • Overall management of the CIMug • Development and tuning of the CIMug web site • Coordination of the Technical Issues process • Development and coordination of the Help Desk environment • Coordination and maintenance of the CIMug mail list • Meeting planning and assistance in conducting the meetings of the CIMug • Establishment of the budget for the CIMug • Development of liaisons with appropriate external groups • Adherence to the rules and regulations of the CIMug and UCAIug
Marketing WG Scope • Chair: Margaret Goodrich (margaret@sisconet.com) • Scope: • Cooperative effort with the Process WG • Primary responsibilities: • Branding • Publicity – Trade Show Participation • Membership Recruitment • Collateral Material Development • Literature • Presentations (training and business justification) • White papers (training and business justification) • Recent accomplishments: • CIM Users Group, UCAIug, and other community logos • CIGRÉ 2008 posters and literature

Tools WG Agenda • Discuss the proposed merger with EAII, proposed charter, co-chairs, and choose a name • Presentation of WG19 Naming Design Rules proposed document by JL Sanson (ITG) • Update of WG16 methodology by Cyril Efantin (EDF)/ JL Sanson (ITG) • Presentation of CIMContextor. A UML tool to follow methodological rules by A. Maizener (Zamiren) • Presentation of CIMSpy/CIMDesk (Jun Zhu) with focus on ENTSO-E enhancements (TBC) • Presentation on CIM in Python and CIMTool plugin for python framework generation (Richard Lincoln) • A presentation of IBM tools to accompany the standards (TBC) • Brief summary to other existing CIM tools (CIMTool, Cimphony, etc.) to initiate discussion on the NIST SmartGrid requirements for a flexible tool to handle UML/messages
Merged Group Charter • The major objectives of this group are: • To promote the understanding and implementation of CIM UML modeling and CIM-Based message exchange • To exchange best practices and information related to challenges experienced when implementing CIM for EAI • To support collaboration and awareness of methodologies for the derivation of messages • Support collaboration and awareness on various tools used to work with CIM among the CIM users community
Compliance & Validation WG Scope • Co-chairs: Suzanne Caron-André, SNC Lavalin (suzanne.caron-andre@snclavalintd.com) & Maurice Adriaensen, KEMA (maurice.adriaensen@kema.com) • Mission: • Formalize definition of CIM Compliance • Define standard compliance testing program, including procedures and tools, documented as CIM Compliance Quality Program.
