Preliminaries • Pre-class (20 classwork points) • Load the pre-writing file “Writing Sample” file you created on 4/11 in Word. • Complete the outline form (handout) as follows: • Thesis statement: write in your thesis statement from yesterday. • Topic sentence #1: make a sentence out of your first bullet point. • Topic sentence #2: make a sentence out of your second bullet. • Topic sentence #3: make a sentence out of your third bullet. • Place your name and date on the top left corner and hand the forms in after 10 minutes.

  3. Be able to insert, delete and hide columns and rows. Be able to merge cells. Be able to wrap text within a single cell across more than one line. Be able to freeze the top row of a workbook. Be able to add a graphic. Be able to add formulas to a worksheet to calculate sums over defined ranges of values (by rows and columns). Excel Review

  4. Focus Lesson Objectives: Borders • Be able to remain on task for an extended period of time. • Be able to copy values from one range of cells to another. • Be able to draw attention to certain cells by adding borders around them.

  5. Homework: due Tuesday (20 const. resp. pts.) • Complete the specific supporting evidence sections for each reason. Also write a brief conclusion or summary.
