Financial Assistance Schemes for Notebook • Types of Schemes - Notebook Rental Scheme ($60 per semester) - Interest-free Loan Scheme (up to $2,000) repayment commences 14 months from graduation or 12 months upon ORD; repayment by lump sum or min $100 instalments for up to 2 years • Who can apply? - Household income: < $1,500 – rental scheme <$2,000 – loan scheme - Not for students on HSN & HLM courses - Students not meeting income criterion can appeal

Financial Assistance Schemes for Notebook • When to apply/appeal? - During E-enrolment • How to apply/appeal? - Apply online at E-enrolment website (under “Financial Assistance”) and submit proof of income documents via business reply envelope - For those who are appealing, can print out the appeal form at E-enrolment website or get hardcopy of the form at SS counter at the CC during the e-enrolment exercise, SSO or SSIC

  7. Step 3Read the Notes. Click to apply or appeal.

  8. Step 4For those who meet the criteria,Login to apply.

  9. Step 5Indicate your choice of scheme before submitting. Note:Please read the Rules and Regulations. Please take note of the Closing date for submission.

  10. Step 6Appeal cases (those who do notmeet the criteria), Print the appeal form after clicking the Appeal button. Note:Please complete course registration before you submit your appeal.

  11. Note:Students enrolled in Mass Communication, Film Sound & Video, Digital Visual Effects, Multimedia & Animation and Audio-Visual Technology courses are required to own Apple Notebook computers. The only courses that do not require students to have notebook computers are Horticulture & Landscaping Management (HLM) and Health Sciences (Nursing) (HSN). Please submit proof of income* eg. photocopies of :4latest salary slips OR 4letter from employerOR 4income tax returns of your family membersto Student Services Office (Block 18, #02-06 , above canteen beside the swimming pool) for your applications.

Scholarships • Types of Scholarships - NP Scholarships (newly-enrolled students) Value: Fully-paid subsidised tuition fees Tenure: up to 3 years (subj to consistent good results) Other benefits: Talent & leadership development training; overseas attachment - NP Achievement Scholarships (2nd/3rd year students) Value: $1,000 - $2,000 Tenure: one year

Scholarships • Who can apply? - Good academic results (e.g. GPA, ELR2B2 aggregate) and CCA records • When to apply? - NP Scholarships: 3 April to 27 April 2007 - NP Achievement Scholarships: 19 March 07 – 27 April 2007 • How to apply? - Online application at Npal Student Self-Service website @https://npalstudent.np.edu.sg

  14. Bursaries • Who can apply? - Students who are financially needy (e.g. family income < $1,500; per capita income less than $375) • When to apply? - 19 March 07 – 27 April 2007 How to apply? - Online application at Npal Student Self-Service website @https://npalstudent.np.edu.sg

  17. Step 2Under Financial Services, click on ‘Application for Scholarship’.

  18. Step 3Select the application type to apply.

  19. Step 4Fill in Blanks in the application page.

  20. Step 5Click ‘Submit’ to complete the application.

  21. Step 6Print the application page (for Bursaries application submission only)

Note:For Bursaries application :please submit proof of income* eg.4latest salary slips 4letter of employment 4income tax returns of your family members to Student Services & Information Centre (SSIC) (Block 1, Atrium) or Student Services Office (Block 18, #02-06)*Please do not submit original documents but such documents must be shown to SSIC Counter staff for verification before submission.
