Virtual Journey Through Chicago’s Greatest Art Exhibits 6th Grade L.A
Expository Writing • Expository Essays: • An essay created to present, share, explain, suggest, or explore information, emotion, and ideas.
The Field Trip! As a class, we have been studying the different types of writing as well as different types and styles of famous artwork. Now we will finally have the chance to connect these two lessons by going on a virtual field trip! Our English class will travel to several art museums in Chicago and get an idea of what each museum has to offer.
Step #1. While visiting each spot in Chicago, you will be asked to write down three key points about each Museum.
Step #2. Next, each member of our class will write a short expository essay describing which of the Chicago Museums you enjoyed most. Make sure to include the name of the museum and 3 specific reasons why you choose it. In addition, you must highlight one exhibit that you read about on the Museum website that you either liked or didn’t like and state why.
Requirements Your essay should be 3-5 paragraphs in length and must include both an introduction and a conclusion. Remember it is not the quantity but the quality of your work that I will be looking for. Enjoy your journey through the wonders of Art in Chicago and don’t forget to have fun!
Begin Your Journey The following 5 slides will contain the different Museums in which you are to visit. In addition to the museum name, the slide will also contain a link to the website of the Museum.
